Our last day in Irkutsk

We met Sergie at a little restaurant in downtown Irkutsk that has a baby alligator in a fish tank. He took us to the Notaries office to sign our intent to adopt Pixie and Dimples. After the 2 hour wait and 5 minutes it took to complete paperwork, we went site seeing in Irkutsk with Sergie. It really is a pretty town. We visited a church that is being renovated. It is over 200 years old and was one of the few churches that was not destroyed by the soviet government. There are not any chairs in the church, so we asked Sergey about the services. The Russian people stand for the whole service which is usually 2-3 hours long –Ouch! We also found a great souvenir shop and bought some Christmas presents. Tomorrow we fly back to Jacksonville. We have been told we will probably have a court date this fall.
