"HEROES" is back!
"HEROES" is back. Finally. For those of you that don't know us personally, my husband and I are TV addicts. We love TV. We love TIVO, which has made our TV watching less complicated and but sadly has also increased the amount of time we sit in front of the idiot box. If you scroll down to the bottom of our blog we have a MEEVEE widget that list the shows we watch.
So what does this have to do with adoption? We have discussed at length how children will change our lives; this is probably going to be one of the hardest adjustments we will have to make. Hard, but so, so worth it. I would gladly throw the TV out of our house to have those little girls here in my arms right now. I would sit through a thousand hours of Barney the purple whatever he is just for the sound of 10 seconds of a child's laughter in my home. I would give up chocolate to kiss away the tears of my babies boo-boos. Yes, TV is important to us, it helps distract and numb the mind temporarily, but it does not block the pain of waiting for our sweet Dimples.
