"We heard through our contacts that the Spanish family was successful in court this week (after what were told was a 5 hour hearing) and that apparently two other families (reportedly one from France, the other not sure where from) have court dates within the next week or so. We also learned today that the judge apparently now is requiring that members of the birth family be present in court as witness to the fact that the child could not raised by his biological family."

We pray that this is not a new requirement of the judge. It would take a miracle to get these parents from Bratsk to Irkutsk; plus there is the worry that the mothers may not want their children adopted by Americans.
