Hope it isn't true

Today in FRUA internet group there is a discussion that Russia has halted adoptions temporarily as they reorganize MOE and they are not sending out database letters. According to the Russian Law, to become available for adoption by foreign citizens, the child must have been registered in the state database for children left without parental care for not less than six months. Normally I wouldn't write about rumors, but several agencies have posted notices about this one. Who knows what is going on or how long they will be closed or this even affects us.

Update: OK, so I recieved an email response from our contact about this situation. Have been told that since we signed papers for them in June we should be OK.
