DAY THREE WITH OUR LITTLE ANGELS
Today was our third day with the girls. Since our first visit, they have both let out big screams and coming running to us when they see us. They both love the puzzle and coloring books. Both the girls have colds, so they won't let them go outside to play, which is fine with me, 3 feet of snow and zero degrees is a little much. But the orphanage staff do wrap up the other kids and take them out to play everyday. I honestly don't know how they can spend 2 hours hour there.
Sergey is at the baby home with another American family and a French family. It was so good to see him. The other families are with us in the play room, both of them are adopting babies. Their court dates are next week and they have been waiting for nine months. The American family is not really very talkative; we have really enjoyed the French family and are exchanging e-mail addresses with them.
We finally found out what happened to Pixie's hair, Sergey said she got bugs in the yard, I assume he means lice. Sergey told us that he does not know if judge is retiring and that she is getting more difficult in court. There is another couple in from France that has been stuck in Irkutsk for 2 weeks because judge will not sign for adoption visa and they can not get passport for their baby.
Sergey also told us that every time he sees Dimples she says "I am here, where is my Mama" which breaks my heart and surprises me because she has not called me Mama yet; she did call Rich 'papa' for first time today
